Who's Who

Well even though this blog is about me and my life...of course I am going to talk about the people that I love...so here is the who's who basics of the people in my life :)

David - Otherwise known as the boyfriend or Davey.

We have been together since November 4th, 2009 and I can honestly say that it has been the absolute best time of my life. David has taught me how to NOT be such a stickler when it comes to calories and he taught me how to not have exercise guilt if I miss a day. I’m stubborn (it runs in my blood) so sometimes I don’t listen to him but hey…it’s the thought that counts.

Davey is what you would call a bottomless pit. He can eat and eat and eat and not gain a single pound. He has the biggest appetite in the world and the fastest metabolism of anyone I know.

We are a really good balance for each other. I bring the healthy balance to the relationship when it comes to eating and Davey brings the “unhealthy-ish” and together we make the perfect pair. We go together like peanut butter and honey, pizza and ranch, or cottage cheese and mashed potatoes (don’t think so??? Try it!!) I love making dinner with him whenever I get the chance (we don’t live together just yet) and one of our favorite things to make is homemade pizza. We always try to think of new, interesting recipes that are a bit unusual but usually delicious.

He is my best friend and a goofball and I am crazy about him. My next goal is to get this past track star to run some 5k’s with me J

Mom- This is my mom. She is one of the strongest women that I know.

About a year ago she decided she was going to have a healthier lifestyle. After joining sparkspeople.com, an amazing website that helps track your daily calorie intake and a bunch of other stuff, she dropped around 30 pounds and has kept it off ever since. Even though she has healthy eating habits, she still won’t say no to a gooey, chocolate brownie. Like mother, like daughter I guess J

Dad – This is my dad. He is the toughest guy I know. Most of my friends are afraid of him because of his voice, which they say sounds like the thunder, and the fact that he isn’t a small guy. Basically they are all crazy and there is no need to be afraid. Under that tough exterior is a teddy bear and a huge goofball.

You could definitely say Im a daddy's girl :)

In the winter of 2010 my dad fell out of a tree while putting up a deer stand for deer hunting. Falling 20 ft to the ground, my dad fractured his L3, L4, and L5 vertebrae, putting him in a back brace for four months. Before this he was starting to get healthier as well but since the accident we have given him a bit of leeway.

Adam -  This is my little brother. He is one of my best friends.

Ok...little BIG brother... :)

Adam and I both go to the same school, UWSP, where we both found a love for nutrition in a wellness class that we took together. After learning about all the good and bad things that you can put into your body, we brought home a more concise plan of how we wanted to eat better and have a healthier lifestyle.

Almost any day you can find my brother snacking on peanuts or oatmeal with peanut butter (Ill make sure to add in his recipe later on) or he can be found out in our makeshift weight room in our garage.

Well there you go...my amazing family and the loves of my life.
